Tourism Statistics 2022: tourist activity close to 2019 levels
According to an INE publication, in 2022 it is estimated that the number of non-resident tourist arrivals in Portugal will reach 22.3 million, corresponding to an increase of 131.4% compared to 2021, below the levels of 2019 (-9.6%). The Spanish market remained the main source market for international tourists (25.8% share), having grown by 97.4% compared to the previous year.
