Famalicão distinguished as “Entrepreneurial European Region 2024”
Famalicão has been distinguished as a “European Entrepreneurial Region 2024” by the European Committee of the Regions, becoming the first territory in the northern region to join the group of European cities and regions to be awarded the prize.
The committee, which is made up of representatives of regional and local authorities from the 27 EU countries, says that this distinction is aimed at “EU regions and municipalities that show an extraordinarily entrepreneurial and innovative political strategy, regardless of their size, wealth and skills.”
