The Secretary of State for Tourism, Trade and Services announced, as part of the “Roteiro + Interior Turismo” information sessions that took place in Portel and Monchique, the opening of the Interior Tourism Investment Fund support line, applicable to low-density territories, which makes €15 million available to companies that own real estate used for tourism or real estate to be converted for tourism.

Turismo de Portugal has made available two new lines of credit resulting from the Tourism Agenda for the Interior. With a total budget allocation of 35 million euros, the new lines have simplified access and are intended for entities that aim to contribute to the socio-economic development of low-density territories through tourism.

The Minister of State, Economy and Digital Transition, Pedro Siza Vieira, stated that the State Budget for 2022 is the one “in which public investment and incentives for private investment grow the most”, among the budgets of recent years.
