Total revenue from tourist accommodation increased this year up to April.
According to Statistics Portugal (Instituto Nacional de Estatística), total revenue from tourist accommodation increased this year up to April.
In the accumulated period from January to April 2024, overnight stays grew by 3.2%, giving rise to increases of 10.6% in total revenue and 10.3% in revenue from accommodation.
The increase in overnight stays in this period was due to the growth in overnight stays from non-residents (+5.4%), while those from residents fell by 1.7%.
It should be noted that these results were influenced by the moving structure of the Easter holiday period, which in the previous year was concentrated in April, while this year it was spread between March and April.
